(More customer reviews)I am using this fan to blow heat from the room my wood stove is located in, past the stairs to the second floor, to heat the rest of the first floor. Before installing the fan, the second floor was sweltering hot, while the remainder of the first floor was too cool, even with mild outdoor temps. With the fan in place, it is moving the heat to where it needs to be and keeping most of it from just going up the stairs. It is USA made and has a heft that suggests a good heavy duty motor. Also has a nice long cord to reach low outlets. Has two speeds, according to the box, delivering 60 cfm and 90 cfm, consumes 25 watts.

(More customer reviews)Item is not suitable for use with a wood stove as purchased. Paint is not heat compatible and burns. Voids in the casting were filled with some kind of filler. Burned and melted paint had to be cleaned off stove. Entire pot needed to be sandblasted and properly finished with heat resistant stove paint.

It broke in shipping. The shovel is very sturdy, not like the old one I bought. It is flimsy and about to brake. I am very pleased with the Woodfield Vintage, thank you very much Amazon.

But about 2008 they must have changed the ingredients and now they are very hard to light, don't stay lit easily, are very hard to break apart, and to separate, and compared to how they used to work, they are now a useless product. I wrote to Jarden Home Brands to tell them the product is now inferior but they did not respond, apparently not caring about customer satisfaction. Don't waste your money. This is a formerly great, user-friendly product that the manufacturer has ruined by making it with cheap ingredients. I'm looking for a better product elsewhere.

(More customer reviews)The set comes with a stand, hooked poker, tongs, shovel, and brush. It required a little bit of assembly, nothing too difficult. Basically it just needed the handles to be screwed into the grips. The one complaint I have is that the tongs should be a little wider to be able to grab pieces of wood or coal better. The ends are barely 3/4" wide, and wood often wobbles a bit when you pick it up, or coals and embers slip out of the grasp of the tongs sometimes. That's why I give this only 4 out of 5 stars. I actually got this more for my barbeque-grill outside, so I can move the charcoal around while it's burning, which it does a great job of too.

They are great to move logs or to put them into the fireplace, not stiff at all like my old fireplace gloves. They're strong enough to protect very well from sparks, hot burning logs, and heat from the fire. They fit both my husband, who is 6'2", and myself, so anybody could use them. I'd highly recommend them.
